Add the people in your family and connect them as parents, partners and children. Record names and nicknames, births, marriages and deaths with their places, and a whole biography of life events — baptisms, schooling, a move abroad, a first job. Little by little, your family stops being a list of names and becomes people you know.

Give every relative a real face with a personal photo, then explore the generations by panning and zooming and focus on anyone to see their branch. Shape the colours, shapes and styles until the tree looks like your family and no one else’s — and on each person you can see exactly how they are related to you: your aunt, your cousin, your grandmother.

Start in your web browser with nothing to install, or use the Android app — the same free account on both, synced across your phone, tablet and computer and safe even if one is lost. Prefer not to sign up yet? You can start on this device without an email address; a cloud account is optional.

Your family’s story is bigger than any one person, so build it together. Connect your tree with a relative’s so shared ancestors come together, give family read-only access to look without changing anything, or hand a whole tree over to the person it truly belongs to — they can share it back with you to keep following along.
Keep it, print it, share it
Bring in what you already have from other family tree programs via the GEDCOM standard — with the pictures in a ZIP — and take it out again the same way. Turn your tree into a clean PDF to print for the wall, or save it as an image to share in the family chat or on social media.
